EVENT PLANNER

We are looking for an event planner to produce events from conception through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Propose ideas to use social media to expand reach of the Project Hearing brand (Facebook Live, 360 video recording, etc.)
  • Organize facilities and manage all event’s details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, equipment, promotional material during and prior to the event
  • Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems on the event day

Requirements

  • A desire to learn AND knowledge share 
  • Needs to be organized, how to keep a schedule and to-do list 
  • Likes to get things done
  • An interest in disability advocacy or the role of technology in communications
  • Thrives in a bit of chaos

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

We are looking for a social media researcher as we expand our reach and build up the PH brand.  

  • We want to put together a list of influencers and individuals with hearing disabilities so we can conduct direct marketing and grow our audience
  • Propose ideas to use social media to expand reach of the Project Hearing brand (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram)
  • Come up with creative ways to use social media for target marketing 

Requirements

  • A desire to learn AND knowledge share
  • Know how to use Insta, Facebook, and Snapchat 
  • Social media research skills are A1
  • Knows how to use Excel --we are NOT looking for experts, though if you are, that's fantastic, please apply-- and if you are a beginner, you should just know how to use the copy and paste function 
  • Can "clean" data -- use the filter function
  • An interest in disability advocacy or the role of technology in communications
